This is what it has looked like around here all week.
Spring, where are you?
Thankfully we have had a lot of experience finding indoor activities to keep us busy this winter, so we could be found at all of our usual places this week.
Monday
Mall walking with Nicole.
4 hours of walking, talking, and a little bit of shopping.
Also, we started a diet which basically consists of Nicole and I texting each other what we eat and counting calories. So far it has been very effective. I just don't have the heart to text Nicole and tell her I ate M and M's for lunch, so I am now mostly choosing appropriate foods, we will see how it goes!
Tuesday
Tattered Cover.

We had a good time hiding from the snow with Ish and Shirhi.
As we were getting ready to leave Max and Shirhi had an adorable conversation which went like this for about 5 minutes:
Shirhi: "You come to my house?
Max: "No, you come to my house?"
Max: "No, you come to my house?"
Eventually it was established that they wanted to have a sleepover at Shirhi's house, but Max did not want to wear her kitty pajamas.
Wednesday
Little Monkey Bizness and Panera lunch with Nicole, April, and Donna.
They have a "NEW BOUNCE HOUSE", which Max has not stopped talking about since our visit.
He seriously tells strangers on the street about it.

I snapped this picture of Eli napping after our day out...and it reminded me of a picture I have of Max:
Same age. Same shirt. Where does the time go?
He still sleeps with his arm like that.
Thursday
Story time and lunch/playdate at Ish's house.
Thank you Ish for saving us from almost having to spend a day cooped up at home, and for a delicious lunch.
Thank you Ish for saving us from almost having to spend a day cooped up at home, and for a delicious lunch.
^^ This is why we have to get out of the house every day.
It's how I keep my house clean, and the stuff in it not broken.
Friday
Target trip and more mall walking with Nicole.
We are officially training for a 5k this summer...that is, if it ever decides to stop snowing.
Phew. We survived another long week stuck indoors, but I am so hoping that soon our days will be filled with long lazy days out in the sunshine.
{fingers crossed}
----------
This weekend I had my first full day away from the boys since Max was born.
Ah, the freedom of not nursing anymore.
I headed north to Ft. Collins to celebrate my friend Natalie and her little girl due in June
Some of her friends put together a very sweet gift card shower at a coffee shop downtown.

| The favors were sparkling water, Natalie's craving with this pregnancy! |
Each of us brought along a gift card to pamper the mom-to-be and some words of encouragement/scripture for her transition to two little ones.
I was touched by all the wise words shared.
We spent our time together talking about motherhood...the challenges and joy of two little ones.
I was so grateful to meet all of these ladies and spend some time honoring and celebrating Natalie's little girl, who we all can't wait to meet!
There just so happened to be a band playing at the coffee shop, and as we were getting ready to leave this sweet couple was dancing away in the back of the room.
Oh, their love.
Inspiring.
After the shower I met my Mom for an early dinner/late lunch at The Chocolate Cafe.
We shared some delicious food and chocolate martinis.
It was nice to get some one on one time with Mom to catch up.
Had to get one more coffee in before heading back home.
Someone was waiting at the garage door for me. And he told me my dress was pretty. And Julian promises he didn't even prompt him to say that.
It was nice to have some adult time, silence in the car, but I missed these little faces.
----------
Our thoughts and prayers have been with those in Boston all week.
We are grateful that neither of my parents were running it that day, but so sad for everyone touched by tragedy.

Your post made me smile on yet another snowy day in April! I love that Max told you your dress was pretty, what a sweet boy!
