A catch-up

Fall is right around the corner...I can feel it.
While I am excited about my favorite season approaching, we have been holding on to the last pieces of summer. Usually, I am a bit of an insomniac, but lately I have been so tired after our long days that I fall right asleep at night. I have gotten a bit behind on pictures and blogging so here are a few rapid fire posts to get caught up!
----------
Uncle Chris came for a visit.

Max seriously loves his Uncle Chris. He showed him every single toy in his play room.

Max the person loves Max the dog :)

We took a trip to the park and I finally got to meet the "big kids" that Julian has been telling me about (he usually takes them to the park while I'm tutoring). It was a sight to see, little Max chasing after these big kids, totally oblivious that he is 2-3 years younger than the others.

It was a nice relaxing visit, we love you Uncle Chris!
----------

Our friends Julie and Hayley came over for a play date. It was so much fun to catch up with these two.

Julie brought yummy cupcakes and the kids played and played. I was a little nervous about Max with Hayley, sometimes he plays rough, but they were so sweet together. Max was calling Hayley "Honey", which still makes me laugh when I think about it.

We had a lovely Friday and can't wait to play again!

Julian and I celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary on August 18th. I really can't believe that we have already been married for 5 years and together for 10?!?

We took the boys to the museum where our wedding reception was held. Max has been in a huge dinosaur phase so it was neat to show him some real dinosaur bones.

5 years ago, we had our first dance in this atrium, surrounded by so many family and friends.

It was the happiest day of my life at that point, I couldn't imagine being any happier. Little did I know that in just a few short years our family would grow to include two beautiful little boys.

One of my favorite pictures <3 I love this man.
Parenting has deepened and strengthened my love for Julian. I love him more now than the day we got married, and I hope our bond continues to grow as the years pass. We have had our share of ups and downs in life but we have been incredibly blessed in our marriage, which has remained stable and thriving.

Our marriage is the central relationship in our family and we make great efforts to nurture it, it isn't always easy with two little guys running around, but I believe that it is so important. Every morning when I wake up I take a moment to say a few prayers and to reflect on my role as a Mother to Max and Eli, and also as a wife to Julian. We both made some goals for our next year of marriage and I look forward to finding new ways to show Julian how much I love him!

Cheers to 5 years!
