It's hard to believe that just over a month ago we had our last snow...and now the temperatures are hitting record highs.
We've been out an about running our usual errands...
The boys at the doctor's office as we wait for Eli to get his MMR vaccine...there was a packed waiting room due to a recent measles outbreak in our area!
Max after a desperately needed haircut, a reward for being such a good boy.
At the end of every day we make it over to the pool (if we haven't been there already), the boys are turning into little fishes.
Our "Wednesday night dinner" happened on Tuesday this week with dear friends.
Max has started trying to swim, we need to get him into some lessons. Eli likes to explore, making trips in and out of the water to retrieve foam noodles and other toys.
On this particular night we were the very last people out of the pool at 8pm, then we sat out on the grass and ate pizza together before heading home.
The boys were up way past their bedtime, but it is summer after all.
----------
We were back the next morning, right as the pool opened, for more fun with friends...

less pool pictures on account of bright light and keeping a very close eye on the boys.
followed by lunch and more playtime at our house.

I promise I don't feed my kids exclusively dum dums, although these pictures make it look that way !
It seems like just yesterday Eli and B were the babies of the group and now they are running around with the big boys ?!
These long summer days are great for getting all of that little boy energy out, with all of these pool visits they have started sleeping in until almost 7:00 am, which Julian and I are celebrating.
Max always wants his crayons around...and pink is his favorite color lately.
After our friends went home, Max pulled the vacuum and broom into the living room and started explaining to Eli how we clean the floors.
They both have certainly mastered making messes (seriously, Eli has a PhD in mess making) so it is good to see that they are starting to learn how to clean them up too, and yet another funny example of monkey see monkey do.

Our thoughts and prayers have been with the communities nearby affected by the Black Forest Fire.
We are about 35 miles away, so a safe distance, although the air quality is very poor here, a reminder of those working very hard to put this fire out!

Can NOT believe they are running around with the big boys now! I was telling Sean how cute it was to watch Beckett run around with Max and Eli, melted my heart! He loved it too! Really need to consider this sibling thing soon! ;)
Definitely something to ponder :) Beckett will be an awesome big bro!!
