A trip to the zoo: fall edition

The zoo is an entirely different place when it isn't 90 something degrees out.

Instead of hopping from one shady spot to another and reapplying sunscreen every hour...I was able to stroll slowly in the sunshine on our latest visit.
It was a perfect Colorado fall day.
Lovely.

Eli is gaining confidence on the carousel, he held on all by himself this time.

We were joined by fun friends. One of many reasons it is great to spend time with my friend Natalie is that you always end up with some great pictures...I'm even in some :)

I like this whole series of photos...silly faces!

And, of course, the brothers being brothers...

They have completely different approaches to zoo visits. Max hardly stops running to peek in on exhibits, but Eli likes to take his time and stops to watch each and every animal.
One of the things currently on my to-do list is "take a solo trip to the zoo with Eli and let him look at each and every animal as long as he likes".

It's hard to believe that our first snow arrived the following morning, we are grateful for these beautiful sunny days.
