June 5th, 2011 is a day that is forever burned into my memory. The day Max turned 10-months old. It was a big week for us, we had our first family pictures scheduled for the 5th so Max got his very first haircut a few days before. He had only been walking for a couple of weeks, the words were starting to come, we were quickly closing in on that first birthday party...
Our awesome photographer sent some of the proofs back to us that very night, and when I looked at those pictures it hit me like a ton of bricks...my baby is growing up.
He was growing up too fast and I wasn't ready to let that baby go. I may or may not have had an emotional breakdown over these pictures :)
Now here we are a whole year later, quickly closing in on his second birthday and I am happy to report that I am taking it all in stride. I look forward to celebrating his second year, so much growth, so much change, so much good.
Eli, though, that's a different story. He is NOT allowed to grow up yet ;)
