A day at the zoo

I woke up a little bit giddy yesterday.

Hey Chris, there is a giraffe smiling behind you :)

I always look forward to those big days where we load up the car and do something out of the ordinary. Yesterday it was a trip to the zoo. 

We got to see Chris and Jenny one more time on the tail end of their Colorado trip and also spend some time with our friends Jared, Natalie, and Genevieve.

I think this is the very first picture of just the four of us...thanks Natalie!

The new elephant exhibit...no actual picture of an elephant, oops!

Looking at monkeys here...one monkey swung across this rope to his friend on the other side and gave him a hug, big aww!

I used to go to the Denver Zoo for school field trips about once a year, so it is neat to bring my little boys back to the very same place.  

After a couple of hours of the sun beating down on us Max and Eli were hot, sticky, and ready to go.

So home we went for a long nap in the cool house...good times!
