A playdate

Sometimes it feels like we are living for the weekends.  I try my best to be grateful for each and every day, but between Julian working, my tutoring in the evenings, and two boys under two, there just isn't a lot of time for meaningful family time during the work week.  Today was the first day in months where we were all at home without any other obligations to fulfill. It was such a good day...

We had a playdate with some great friends.

Behold a picture where three toddlers are smiling!

Between us we have four boys under the age of four so naturally there was a lot of jumping, wrestling, tackling-- you know, boy play.

We made a trip down to the park to let them run off some of that energy.  It felt great to be out there just soaking up the sunshine.

This weekend marks the beginning of summer and it could not have come soon enough.  I have been pregnant for much of the last two summers and I look forward to making the most of the next few months without a baby on board.

Hang in there little guy, you're going to be running around the playground with the big boys soon!

I wish everyone a wonderful holiday weekend!
