Last Friday we had some very nice weather...
70 degrees and sunny.
So why not invite every one we know for another zoo trip?
Well, apparently the entire state of Colorado had the same idea.
The parking lot was a complete mess.
We ended up with a big group, us + 7 other mamas and their little ones.
I took the easy way out and just captured a few video clips and cell phone pictures (Ish took pictures too), didn't even bother with the DSLR that day.
Here is a little video of our day!

Even though St. Patrick's Day is not a holiday that we have been big celebrators of in the past, we thought it might be fun to participate this year because Max is at an age where he loves colors. Of course, no holiday would be complete without a few Pinterest projects.
Our original plan was to have a "leprechaun" visit over night so the boys woke up to a fun surprise...but after out trip to Ft. Collins I was feeling exhausted and fell asleep on the couch instead. Ooops.
I was much refreshed on Sunday after meeting my dear friend Amber for a 3-hour brunch, so the leprechaun visited while the boys made a trip to the park that afternoon :)

They arrived home to a note from the leprechaun and a green string to follow to a surprise.

Max followed the string diligently, he was very serious about following directions. Finally, after circling the house, the trail ended in the kitchen.

| Happy St. Patrick's Day! |
It was nothing spectacular, but seeing the excitement on Max's face made this little bit of effort so worth it. Any one who knows us knows that fruit is our favorite food group in this house, so this was a much appreciated treat!
Our poor little rainbow only lasted 5 minutes, we devoured it.
I like finding simple ways to make days extra special and this was a fun way for the kids to celebrate, Max is still talking about this rainbow.

In other news, Eli had his first trip to the dentist, and Max had his first real exam.
He did an awesome job, no fussing!
Max's teeth were declared to be "perfect", so it's good to know that all of that brushing is paying off.
Even though Eli only has 7 teeth they also did a brushing and quick exam.
One of the most adorable things about Eli is the gap between his two front teeth, we learned today that it is caused by an attached frenulum on his top gum.
It may or may not self correct, and while harmless, he could choose to have it corrected at age 11-12.
Julian says he had the same thing as a toddler, I never knew!
All in all we had a great trip to the dentist, next week we have well baby check-ups, it is nice to get these things checked off of the to-do list.
