A wintery weekend

Here we are, already the last weekend in February.
Ours started with a Saturday morning rendezvous at Monkey Bizness with Liam and Kippy.
Thank goodness for boys that like to play as rough as mine do.

With the boys thoroughly tired out and sound asleep, Julian held down the fort while I snuck away for some girl time with Nicole.
Starbucks +crochet.

My first granny square. Someday this little guy will be a part of a blanket...or so I hope.
We recently go rid of our satellite TV, and pretty much TV in general,  so neither Julian nor I were aware that a blizzard was heading our way and went to bed none the wiser.

Sunday has brought us 8-10 inches of snow, and blustery wind, just general winter storminess.

So for the second time this week it was a snow day.
Days spent cooped up inside always feel incredible long to me, we played, we cleaned, we made pudding...and it was still only 10 am.

Max seems to have forgotten his snow incident earlier in the week and went outside to help Daddy shovel. Equipped with gloves, hat, and scarf this time and the results were much better. I'm not sure if he is quite ready for winter ascents of Colorado 14ers (my Dad did this to my brother and I), but he is certainly developing a love of snow.

He pulled out the snow stuff and managed to put his coat on his legs. Adorable.
Something green on an otherwise white day.
Our precious Eli turned 11-months old today.
He is officially almost a one-year-old.
He showed off some new tricks today, repeating his name "Eli" after we said it to him ( I credit our constant singing of the Lie-la-Lie song to him) and signing and saying "Hot" to the fireplace.

I snapped a few pictures of our boy while Max napped.

Similar spirits these two.

a snow day won't bring us down!
More Vivaldi, more time on Pinterest ( I gave up Facebook for Lent), more crocheting...while the snow continued to fall.

Eli just woke up with his hair like this today. It made us laugh. A lot.

Daddy breaking the no screen time rule.
In case you can't tell, we are desperate  ready for Spring to arrive!

Also, this happened.
I promise Julian was right behind Eli in case he fell...
but yes, we clearly have way too much testosterone in this house.
