Halloween is not my favorite holiday, I am really not a fan of spooky/scary things, but I do think it is a lot of fun to dress the kids up. So we celebrate in our own way...with costumes, pumpkins, and apple cider. We get together with friends, do a little bit of trick-or-treating around the neighborhood, and call it a night!
This year we had some dear friends come to our house to celebrate.

We had a lot of fun, Max and his buddy were old enough to really get into trick-or-treating. They were a little timid for the first couple of houses but after that they were so excited to go from house to house, knock on the door, and have someone put candy in their buckets.
This was Eli's first Halloween and he wasn't sure what to think.
He liked seeing Max and the other kids in costume, but I think walking around in the dark was a little upsetting to him, he kind of shut down and fell asleep a few houses in. Sweet Eli.
Even though Max doesn't really like to eat candy he was obsessed with putting it in his bag. He even started taking from our bowl for trick-or-treaters, it was quite a sight to see him running around with handfuls of candy.
