We had pretty much completed all of our favorite Halloween festivities before leaving for St. Louis.
Pumpkin were carved, costume pictures were taken, and we'd had more than our fair share of hayrides.
I'm glad we did it all ahead of time because Oct. 31 in St. Louis ended up being a very rainy day.
We had fun the night before though, at Boo at the Zoo...
The little guys had fun running around in their costumes at night.
Due to the rain on Halloween we tried to go trick or treating at the local mall, but the boys weren't that into it, they much preferred riding on the fire truck...
We had a fun family dinner at California Pizza Kitchen (it's so rare that we eat out at a restaurant, it was a real treat), complete with little balloon ghosts for the boys.
Then we settled in for a nice evening at Chris and Jenny's house, the boys had their own little costume parade. We enjoyed our favorite brown butter nutella cookies and watched the movie "Tangled", which I really liked even though Max says it's "too girly".
We were all excited for the wedding festivities starting the next day so Halloween was sort of overlooked this year, which is fine with me because we skipped all of the candy :)
The best part of the whole week is coming up next...the wedding!
